Friends and acquaintances who would later form MinneCODA first met in
1988, when some of us were unable to attend the "New Beginnings -
New Directions" conference, and thought our own gathering was a
natural point of exploration.
Bi-monthly meetings in people's homes, with a rather formal intro. &
check-in was the norm for several years; our gathering point later shifted
to dinners out, around town -- with some clubbing.
Since beginning the work of planning to host the "Takin' a Road Trip"
2006 conference, we have added monthly socials in order to maintain
sanity and relationships. MinneCODA recently held our first election of
officers, and we are now filing papers to incorporate, draft bylaws and
affiliate with CODA-International.
